Welcome to the Robin’s Privacy Policy. This document outlines the procedures for collecting, storing, safeguarding, and sharing your information, as well as the third parties with whom we may share it. We recommend reading this Privacy Policy in conjunction with our Terms.
While you engage with the Robin’s mobile application (including the desktop version, referred jointly to as the “App”), our website, or utilize our digital products and services (such as competitions or surveys) collectively referred to as our "Sites," certain information about you is collected. Additionally, you have the option to share information with other users, including your friends and contacts ("Users"). There may also be instances where we need to share your information.
Given that the App and Sites operate globally, your information will be transmitted to and processed in the United States of America, irrespective of your country of residence. This Policy outlines the measures we take to protect your personal data during international transfers, so please review it carefully.
When you download the App and establish an account ("Account"), we may gather specific details ("Registration Information") about you, including but not limited to:
After registration, you can review and modify this information anytime by logging into Robin account, except for your birth date and location (automatically updated if you've granted Robin access to your device's location in settings). It's your responsibility to ensure your account details are current. Notify us of any phone number changes promptly.
The collected information enhances the application and verifies users (no robots allowed!). Certain Registration Information, like sexual preference, name, and username, may be visible to other Users.
We urge and advise you to consider carefully what personal information you choose to provide. Additionally, it is not advised that you include sensitive information on your profile such as phone numbers, email addresses, URLs, instant messaging credentials, credit card information, national identity numbers, drivers' license details, or any other information that could be abused or misused or exploited.
The amount of personal information you disclose is at your own discretion whether you publish about yourself or interact with other Users using the messaging feature. For additional information on who can view what you publish on Robin, please refer to Section 4 below.
We require Users to verify their accounts. We may also ask for your phone number and, in certain cases, your photo ID in order to maintain safety and security and to give you the best possible user experience. We wish to confirm that you are not a machine! Additionally, we aim to prevent the creation of phony accounts, as these might be used for abuse, illegal activity, and cybercrime, endangering the Robin’s network and ruining user’s safety and/or experience. We may need this authentication to guard against fraud.
If you choose to buy any of our premium services, we will handle your payment information and keep it safe for audit/tax purposes as well as to avoid fraud.
Robin as part of its anti-fraud measures use automated choices to stop the processing of fraudulent payment transactions. Our technologies examine payment transactions for activity that suggests violations of our Terms and Conditions of Use to accomplish this. A transaction may be automatically denied if it matches specific criteria that indicate that there is a high likelihood of a breach of the Terms and Conditions of Use, and that the transaction is fraudulent. The user will be informed when a transaction is blocked and that it will not be able to be processed. Users can get in touch with us to contest the decision.
Please note that if your account is blocked for any reason, any account(s) that you have on other Robin’s affiliate platforms/applications may also be blocked as part of our anti-spam and anti- fraud procedures.
When you use your cell, we will gather information about WiFi access points along with other location data about your longitude and latitude, and we may save your device's coordinates to provide you with specific services if you have allowed Robin access to your location in your device settings. By enabling the general locality information to be displayed to Users viewing your profile and displaying the profiles of other Users who are nearby, we use this information to help us identify your physical location and to personalize the App, making it easier for you to interact with other Users.
You can use the following techniques to stop Robin from accessing your location if you have granted us permission to do so:
When you use the App, we might gather data about your device, such as its model, operating system, and unique device identifier, for a variety of reasons as detailed in this policy. Additionally, the App may access your device's address book if you allow us to do so to add contacts.
We also gather information about your images, such which one’s people like to look at the most, which ones have the finest lighting, etc. We might reorganize your profile pictures using that information to put them in a more advantageous position for you.
We may use click-redirection or other techniques to monitor how you use the links on Robin, including third-party services. We might divulge aggregate click-through data, like the number of times a specific link was clicked.
We occasionally conduct research-related surveys, and we may get in touch with you to ask if you would be interested in participating. We may also get in touch with you to ask if you would be interested in giving feedback, providing a testimonial, or being involved in marketing campaigns (for instance, if you let us know that you have found a match on the App, we may get in touch with you to ask if you would be happy to feature in advertising for Robin). These surveys and marketing campaigns are optional, and further details will be given at the point of contact. If you would prefer not to be contacted to participate in either of these initiatives, please use our Feedback Page to reach out to our Customer Support Team.
If you use our Feedback Page to contact our Customer Support team, we will obtain your email address and may be able to trace your IP address in addition to the information you send us to assist with your inquiry. For six years following the termination of your account, we shall retain a record of any correspondence with you, including any complaints you may have made about other users (as well as complaints other users may have made about you).
We may automatically gather personal information about you when you use our app or browse our sites using cookies or other similar technologies. A cookie is a little file that you can set in your browser or device to let us identify and remember you.
Please go to our Cookie Policy for additional information about cookies, including how we use them and your options.

The legal basis for processing profile and proximity information is the necessity for providing our contractual services to you. Regarding the processing of information related to your app activity, it is based on our legitimate interests and specifically our interest in generating more personalized and relevant recommendations for potential matches within our App. If you choose to include sensitive details, such as beliefs, in your profile, the processing of this information relies on your voluntary and explicit consent.
We employ a blend of automated systems and a team of moderators to continuously monitor and assess accounts, including photos and any information added to user profiles, as well as messages, for content indicating potential violations of our Terms and Conditions of Use. Should an account or message meet specific criteria indicating a likely breach of the Terms and Conditions of Use, the associated account may receive a warning, and the user's access may be limited or blocked. Users affected by such actions can reach out to Robin to contest the decision.
If you share content that contradicts our Terms and Conditions of Use, we retain the right to terminate or restrict access to your Account.
